Hi my name is Brian, and I'm the inventor of the Pro-Stance Mat that helps all levels of golfers to develop their golfing technique. I have been in the golf industry for over 30 years, having played in the IGT PRO CHALLENGE TOUR and various other tournaments during my career.
The Pro-Stance Mat was developed back in 2015 in South Africa as a golfing aid. We now bring the new 2nd edition to the UK shores that has helped 1000's of golfers in the Southern Hemisphere.
Over the next few months we will be uploading training videos demonstrating how to get the very best out of the Prostance Mat, so keep your eye out for these training aids. Thank you for popping by and if you wonder what I look like, I'm the dude in the blue polo shirt.
Brian Goslet, InventorDriver is forward in stance and target foot turned out at 40 ° - this helps your hips turn easy without restriction - meaning faster hip turn through increases club head speed which in turn, increases distance by 10%.
• For this shot chipping,
pitching and bunker play -
your foot is pulled back which opens your
stance. Only the feet are left of the target.
• In bunker play - same set up open stance,
but focus on splashing 2 balls out behind
the ball and follow through.
The feet are not turned out, but straight. Ball
is slightly forward which allows for small
pre-set on to the ball for long putts -
stand up more.
Focus on the 18” around the
hole - if you miss the hole, you
will make your 2nd putt which
equals Birdie or Par.
On short putts always putt firmly - when you don’t, you always come up
short or it goes left or right, depending on slope. Pick out a spot, then putt.
For left handers, stand on the opposite side and place feet and ball the
same. A special order would need to be placed if the player or client
requested a left hander Pro-Stance Mat.
• Set mat with red arrow to the intended target line /
draw-fade or straight ball flight.
Place the mat between your toe line and the ball.
• For practice range.
• Position the feet opposite the space between colour
code foot print and colour code ball position.
• Set yourself up (level) parallel to the target line - this
includes hips, shoulders & feet - take the swing & SHOOT!
• Pro Stance Sticker are small calibration stickers for your
clubs which can be placed on the shaft as a guide
allowing you to take the mat concept to the course.
• The Stance and Ball Guide was created to show the golfer, the correct ball positioning - a stance position that is vital to playing consistent golf shots.
• Playing consistent golf, you need to have the club return back to the correct impact position over and over - to do that, consistent ball positioning and stance is NEEDED!
• The Width of Stance & Ball Position will determine the Angle of Attack of the club head onto the ball - this in turn will control the amount of spin (back spin), and the trajectory of the shot (high or low).
The three (3) full shot stance and ball positions are as follows:
